Awww, this looks really really good Kitten-chan. :3 Though Yuri is not my cup of tea (thiskind'velookslikeitifitisn'ti'msorry), I really like how the colors blend and the whole of the composition itself. I'm so happy you're updating again. :3 Welcome Back.
I've always used a mouse on mine because I don't have a graphics tablet and I've not had the funds to buy one, and even if I would of had access to one I wouldn't have any idea how to work one of those, (I mean how do you cover a 9 1/2" x 11" area with a space that's only 4" x 6", and how would you see what you were coloring with one of those?)
Well, that's alright considering I don't have $120-150 to throw around to get a large one let alone $40-60 to get a small one right now, so mouse will do for now. I zoom in to use the mouse anyhow so it's not like there's that much of a difference anyhow except for one uses a stylus and the other is a mouse. Although even if I did have a graphics pad more than likely my drawings will still turn out like they do now looking flat and not very consistent, and not very lively. So really no one advice is really going to help because as I've told everyone else on here I've only got 2 years of art class experience from elementary school in 1-3 grades which was over 10 years ago for me so I don't remember half the stuff I learned in those classes and I didn't even learn all that useful of stuff there anyhow all I learned about was the color wheel and how to make and fire clay figures that's it, nothing about drawing or anything like that, (I went to a school system where sports and the music departments mattered more than the art department.)
It's got a great feeling of unexpected wonder to it- nice! The rose petal in front of Ninie(?)'s hair threw me off for a second, but the petals as a whole were a very nice touch. I envy your wing-drawing skill :3
